It's like homemade lemonade, but a little bit fancy!

Everyone loves a good homemade lemonade. There's something about that sweet, refreshing, citrusy goodness that gets everyone in the mood for L.O.V.E (plus it's a great way to get your guests mingling as they fight over the punch jar and stripey straws!)

This lemonade recipe is courtesy of one of our fave blogs - Apartment 34 - and adds a touch of romantic with some rosewater.

Rose Lemonade

Ingredients (serves 6)

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 cup fresh lemon juice
4 cups cold water
1 tablespoon rose water
garnish-lemon slices, rose petals

Method

Heat sugar and water on stove to dissolve sugar. Let mixture cool in the fridge for 2 hours.

Juice lemons. Place lemon juice in pitcher with sugar syrup, water, and rose water.
Stir mixture and pour into glass with ice.

Harden it up!

Of course, you can harden up this pretty as a picture drink with a healthy shot of (good quality) gin. We like Tanqueray. Then feel free to harden the name up too, and call it the 'Tanquerade' - HA!
